Using Acupuncture in Regina To Treat Anxiety and Depression

How Acupuncture Works

Acupuncture first came into popularity in China but has recently started to become popular in western culture. The way it works is the people who came up with the concept believe it works by unblocking channels of energy in your body also known as “Qi”. Qi is known to reside in your body and can get distraught when your body is tense. Acupuncture pinches certain nerves in your body that are meant to assist the flow of your Qi. Your moods and different problem areas in your body are all connected to different flows, so tapping into those flows with acupuncture can make a significant difference.

Acupuncture in Relation to Emotions

The way acupuncture in Regina connects to your emotions is fairly simple. Different parts of your body interact with different emotions. So if you are feeling particularly anxious or depressed, you can let your regina acupuncture therapist know and they will focus on certain areas. Regina acupuncture therapists will treat patients in accordance with their needs. They assess their patients points of stress and treat them with specific puncture points. Your emotions are all part of your Qi, and your Qi is the base of your body wellness. Your channels of energy in your body are in control of your overall health.

Should You Get Acupuncture?

Acupuncture can seem intimidating, due to it being a bunch of needles piercing your skin all at once. In actuality, acupuncture is fairly harmless. It can take a little while to get used to but that’s like all new experiences. Acupuncture is not for everyone but if you are seeking a natural way to treat your mental health issues it can be a great option. If you’re still on the fence, do some research, check what your insurance covers, and have a discussion with a regina acupuncture therapist. Overall, if you can afford a new form of physiotherapy in Regina it is a relaxing and natural way to destress and have a better control on your body energy.
